Do I need a visa for Tanzania?
Most visitors do, and it is straightforward. You can apply online through the official eVisa portal before you travel, or get one on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A tourist visa is usually 50 USD, or 100 USD for US passport holders. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date.
What vaccinations do I need?
Tanzania asks for proof of yellow fever vaccination only if you are arriving from a country where it is a risk. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended for the safari areas — speak to a travel clinic six to eight weeks before you leave, as they will also advise on routine boosters.
Is it safe on safari?
Yes. Your guide is trained and certified, our vehicles carry first aid kits and a two-way radio, and every safari includes comprehensive passenger insurance. The main rule is a simple one — stay in the vehicle unless your guide says otherwise.
How many people are in a group?
Our safaris are private by default: you travel with your own party, your own guide and your own Land Cruiser. Each vehicle seats six with a window seat for everyone, so nobody shoots over a shoulder.
What should I pack?
Neutral colours, layers for cold morning drives, a hat and high-factor sunscreen, binoculars, and more camera storage than you think you need. Lodges do laundry, so pack light — internal flights cap luggage at 15 kg in a soft bag.
How and when do I pay?
Nothing is due while we are still planning. Once you are happy with the itinerary we ask for a 30% deposit to hold your dates and lodges, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. We accept bank transfer and card, and dates can be changed free of charge up to 30 days out.
